Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Practitioner position supports system-wide learning and performance improvement activities for our most important stakeholders - our front-line staff serving our patients and families. The NPD Practitioner coordinates effective and efficient nursing education and competency for the nursing and front-line staff of Mammoth Hospital and Clinics. The NPD Practitioner identifies staff learning needs and collaborates with clinical and educational experts to identify resources to meet the needs of the hospital and clinics staff. The NPD Practitioner is expected to have a relatively high degree of analytical abilities, strong interpersonal skills, an ability to work independently and show attention to detail. The NPD Practitioner will strive to model the NPD Standards of Practice which include: Competency Management, Education, Onboarding and Orientation, Role Development, Collaborative Partnerships, Research and Evidenced-Based Practice, and Performance Improvement.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of California *Bachelor's degree required
- 2 years staff development or teaching experience preferred *BLS certification required *ACLS/PALS - preferred
